I’ve been contemplating expanding the skyline for Astronomy and Astrophotography. I have a rather large Red Maple that has a rotting core that needs to come down along with another maple that I planted. There is also a dying Ash tree thanks to the Emerald bore beetle and then a Cherry that is dying and needs to be removed. Well, I guess I will stock up on firewood for the winter out of my own yard this year. I hate to cut that one as it is gorgeous in the fall, but the tree removal is in progress. Here is a pic of the final area for Brown Mountain Observatory after removing a few trees.
